Jim, Thanks so much for your post. I am specifically interested in Gottfried's wife, Christina. In the WI 1860 census we find: Gottfried Kepler 43 M Stone Mason Germany Christina " 53 F " Martin Bosecker 22 M Carpenter " Elizabeth Bosecker 18 F Domestic " Lewis Kepler 16 M Day Laborer " Emil " 14 M " Edmund " 9 M " Louise " 6 F " Martin & Elizabeth Bosecker's mother's name was Christina. The age fits. Another researcher has just found a Sauk Co, WI marriage in 1855 for what may be Gottfried Kessler & Christina Bosecker: John G. Kerrbo (alias John Gottfried KESSLER) father: George W. Kessler mother: Christina Roln (?) occupation: Mason birthplace: Mehlin Gotna (??) C.H.E.B.F. Bosegger (alias Christine Hedwig Eva Barbara BOSSECKER) father: Heinrich Bosegger mother: Caroline Bosegger It was a protestant wedding performed by Heinrich (?) Spengler on October 11, 1855 in Sauk City You may find more on my Christine Hedwig Eva Barbara Boßecker at: http://www.mindspring.com/~sbosecker/d0000/g0000092.htm#I29 Let me know what you think. Do you happen to know if Gottfried attended any particular church in Sauk City?
