Y., daughter of Leonard and Anne (Whitford) Sherman. Well, it is a good bet that the Leonard Sherman listed here is the father of Delia Ann Sherman Haskin. Delia is listed in the 1880 Antelope Co., NE census as being born in New York. I have been hoping that through the Sherman line I might be able to also find the Haskin line. Samuel Haskin, father of Edwin Haskin who married Delia Sherman, is listed in all census reports as also being born in New York. I have just not been able to find out where in New York to even begin searching for him. Possibly they all came from the same area. I want to thank you for sending me the website. I found a Sylanua Sherman listed. I am wondering if the Sylvans Sherman listed on the marriage info as a witness for Edwin and Delia might just be Sylvanua Sherman. Also, the S. Sherman with wife, Anne and children listed in the 1860 census in Woodland appears to be Sylvanua Sherman. Age is about right and so is the name of his wife. Samuel Haskin's children seem to have married in various towns in Sauk Co. Raviah Haskin married Frederick Rabuck in Marston (1859), Edwin Haskin married Delia Sherman in LaValle (1867) and Wallis Haskin married Mary Sophia Brandt in Ironton (1875). Samuel Haskin is in the 1860 and 1870 Sauk Co census but not the 1850. By 1880 Samuel, Edwin and Wallis are all in Antelope Co., NE. And as I said, from the writings of Edwin and Delia's daughter, Ann, some of the Sherman family must have also gone to Nebraska but I can't find anything on them yet. Raviah was deceased by this time having died in Ironton. Delia Sherman Haskin died in Antelope Co in 1887. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it. Dee Yeager
