    1. Louise Leedy's lookup offer - Barrington and Loughney
    2. Jocelyn Harvey
    3. Dear Louise Leedy, thanks for your offer to lookup people in the Standard History of Sauk County (1918). Could you kindly check for Martin Barrington and Patrick Loughney Martin, b. 1833 in Ireland, came to Wisconsin via Canada, with wife Cecelia Loughney Barrington and some children, probably between 1866 and 1870. In 1877, he owned a farm in Ironton (NW corner of Section 17). Patrick Loughney, father of Cecelia, came with his family from Ireland, via Canada, arriving in Sauk Co. in 1864. In 1877 Patrick had a farm not far from Martin's in Ironton (SE corner of Section 16). Martin was my ggrandfather, Patrick my gggrandfather. My grandfather was Edward Peter Barrington, son of Martin, b. June 29, 1872 in Ironton. Patrick Loughney died at a relatively early age, 1874 in Ironton, but his wife Anna O'Malley Loughney lived to Feb. 17, 1904, dying in Reedsburg, Sauk Co. Any further information you can find in the history, especially about when Martin and his family arrived in Sauk Co. and their life there, would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much for this help! Jocelyn Harvey
