    3. I am looking for information about Reuben and Charles Hall of North Freedom as of 1895. They are the brothers of Esther Ann Hall who married John Thomson of Dellona and moved to Minnesota. Reuben would be born c.1845 and Charles 1855. The parents of all three were Truman B. Hall and Fanny M. (Wood) Hall. Fanny is buried in No.Freedom, but everyone else simply vanished. I would like to find more information about Fanny's parents and the disappearance of her husband and sons from the area. Any help would be appreciated. Jeanee

Ind Rebecca, age 10, b. Ind Charles, age 2, b. 3. Hi Julie, As you saw from the other message, there is indeed a Troy township in Sauk co. It is in the in the central part of southern Sauk Co. Honey Creek twp. is to the North of Troy, and Franklin twp is to the west of Honey Creek twp. I can scan the part of the map and send to you, if you would like. If you are looking at a state of WI map, the area is Troy is southeast of Leland, and east of Plain, and west of Sauk City/Prairie du Sac. I believe that Sauk co. reached it's present size about 1860-1870. Kathy At 10:00 AM 09/21/1999 -0400, you wrote: >Hi Kathy, >Thanks for this info. 3. Thanks Dave! I like learning new stuff. Troy township was a total surprise to me, but then my gazetteer did not list it either. Of course there is actually no town or village named Troy, just the township. I am a native of Sauk Co, but most of my lines were in Baraboo or Reedsburg or those surrounding townships. I am glad you put in the town and range numbers, I never would have found it otherwise. Thanks for the education.

    3. To Lois Mogren -- Cynthia Brownell married Mr. Rollson/Rowlinson/Rawlston -- they had two daughters. Mr. Rollson/Rowlinson/Rawlson went to fight in the Turkish War and was at the siege of Tripoli under Commodore Bainbridge and was taken prisoner and exchanged. He heard his wife was dead (Cynthia) -- so didn't go home and re-married a lady near Philadelphia. Cynthia Brownell Rollson/Rowlinson/Rawlston -- supposed that her husband was dead and married Mr. Thomas Hill in 1807. They had three sons (Lafayette Hill was one) and Mr. Hill died in 1814. Lafayette Hill lived for a time near Portage City,WI. I know Cynthia Brownell Rollson/Rowlinson/Rawlston because she was the mother of Hannah Rawlston who married John Barry in Colchester, VT Cynthia is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Reedsburg, Sauk County, WI -- no headstone remains. I have a Barry family history (written in the 1870's) which tells about Cynthia. Also, Cynthia's name is mentioned in the History of Sauk County (I have those pages) -- plus, she is mentioned in a few other county history books (regarding the Barry family). If you would like more information -- please feel free to e-mail me personally at boose@win.bright.net Regards, Colleen Hager City, Wisconsin

Her mother thinks that someone in the family married a Rohrlack. Here are the family names that she has; Luebkemann, Schulze,Heitman, Westerman. Also, Rev Rohrlack baptized her mom, Christel Schulze Foss, on 1906. He also married her grandmother, Emma Westerman and grandfather,Christof Friedrick Albert Schulze, plus many more. She's also quite sure her great grandfather, Henry Schulze helped build St Peter's. Almost forgot, my wife and I were married there in 1955. Any help would be appreciated.
