I wrote down the name Kurt McCrary that was listed there. My husbands' Grand parents lived in Sauk Co. and G-Grand Parents are buried in the cemetary at Delona, Wisc. 3. Hi Kathy, I would be interested, especially if it has the index. I just ordered the non indexed copy last month and have not received it yet. Maybe I'll donate the non indexed version to our local library. 1. [WISAUK] Lake Delton
    2. Hello , I'm seeking info on my wife's family. Hugh & Irene Burdue , had a dau.Valorce, who around 18-20yrs old Came to Wisc. I know she married Robert White who was a building contractor in Lake Delton in the late 1940's & into the 1950's. Hugh died in Detroit 1949 and Valorce's mother Irene came to live In Lake Delton where Bob built her a house on the front of their lot. We visted them in the early 50's. Irene died there but was taken back to Norwalk for Burial. Valorce had a son Tom who was abou17-19 at that time . She also did considerable work on the programs at the Dells. We know she did a lot of genealogy work on the family that would be useful now . WE believe both Valorce & Bob died some years ago and there has been no sucess locating Tom . I'm asking if any of this rings a bell , or are there records someone might access in Delton that may unravel info. I sure would appreciate any help or info you may find and I hope I haven't made this too long. Sincerly Don

    1. [WISAUK] History of Sauk County, info on contents of book
    2. Sauk County Historical Society
    3. For those of you who asked, Butterfield is an author of an 1880 History of Sauk County. The book is 825 pages with about 150 pages of biographical sketches of numerous people from Sauk County. The book includes information regarding Sauk County on: those who served in the Civil War; those who served in county government; each town or township and its people; some pictures of people; club and organizations; churches and schools, etc. etc. etc. The original book was unindexed when it came to the names. We are in the process of getting permission from the ones who own the index to reprint it so we can provide it with the book. It makes the book invaluable to genealogists and historians, more so than it already is. Thank you to all who have notified me of their interest. It looks like we will make it a "go" as soon as the index issue is complete. THANK YOU ALL!! Kathy Waddell, Archivist Sauk County Hisorical Society

    3. Kathy - I would be interested in purchasing the 1880 Sauk Co History. My hat's off to those who created the index. Having just helped complete the index for our county history (700+ pp) soon to be reprinted, I understand what a time consuming effort it is. I have the book A Standard History of Sauk County, Wisconsin edited by Harry Ellsworth Cole, Pres of Sauk Co Hist Soc, copyright 1918. It's not in good condition, but I would be glad to do lookups for anyone. Louise Leedy lal@lodelink.com Looking for HATZ and ACCOLA
