    2. Hi Shelley, I am related to some Wirt's from ogle co. IL. If you don't find anyone else I'd be interested in the old photo. Steve oler lonewolf50@aol.com --- Original Message --- From:"Shelley Cardiel" <cardiels@comcast.net> Sent:Wed 1/21/09 10:12 am To:<WIRT@rootsweb.com> Subj:[WIRT] WIRT Family Photograph I've "rescued" an old photograph of George WIRT which was likely taken in the early 1900's. The photograph has no studio or location indicated so I've no idea where it might have been taken. The photograph was located in Portland, Oregon when recovered if that is any possible clue. I am hoping to be able to return the photograph to George's family. If you might be a member of this WIRT Family, or know someone who could be, please contact me. 2. Hi Lists, Pardon the cross postings, but due to the variability of the spelling of the last name, I thought it was a necessary approach. Below is copied my information on the brickwall Hiram C. Wert/Wirt in my wife's family. My spouse is a granddaughter of Hettie Ellen Wirt and George Willis Plunkett in the outline below. I have found this Hiram Wert/Wirt in either Roanoke City or the Big Lick area of Roanoke County in the 1880 through 1910 Censuses, and then in 1920, he shows up in the Montgomery County, Virginia area, where there are a number of Wirt/Wert/Wirtz, etc., families. I have been unable to find his parents. Any clues, leads, information, etc., appreciated. Thanks, John Hale Falls Church, VA Descendants of Hiram C. Wert 1 Hiram C.
