(At some point over the past week, I ran into a recommendation to >Ancestry users that they use the latest version of Internet Explorer, 6.0 -- >which is available only in a Windows version. I didn't have time to call >their support line today -- and I suppose it would be just too much of a >coincidence for somebody on this list to be on triwest.net, or >airstreamcomm. > Scott > Scott, I don't have a Mac, but I am using Windows XP and I find if I want to view the census, I have to use IE. Netscape doesn't interact well with the MrSid plug in and when I try to get it to work, it ends up corrupting my email program (grrrr). I also had problems at first with the original Mr Sid version, at which time I complained and was told that I had to use IE, which I am reluctant to do because of security issues (probably not a problem with a Mac). Have you contacted Ancestry about your problem? Surely you are not the only Mac user out there. Good luck, Linnea
