To Whom it may Concern: I am trying to trace my roots via the internet. I have hit a "brick-wall" with my Great Grandfather William Dary. He had a son named William so it is a bit confusing. William the younger was born around 1861 I believe. William the elder is listed in the Richland Cty. History (on line). He purchased sections 28 & 29 after arriving from IL in 1851 (from chapter 31). He sold the land and moved to Sylvan. That is where the trail ends for me, so far. Can you help? I'm hoping to find his place and date of birth and any other info. (his ancestry). The name Dary is rare. It appears to be Irish (I found a ship's manifest from 1848 listing a family of 4 named Dary--no adult male/ on line.). Any info. you can provide would be apprecitated.
