Guy Sigrist farmed in the village of Ithaca, the village reservoir was and still is on that farm. I've heard the hill called rattlesnake hill and remember a"story" as a kid that Guy's wife died of snakebite. His daughter Eleanor Reuter is a close family friend and babysat me at times. Hopefully some of her Reuter Sebranek and other families will see this inquiry of yours and respond. Regards, Mark Miller
Mark, Thanks for the information below! I apologize for the late response, we left on vacation the weekend you sent this and everything go put on hold until we got home. I haven't heard from any of the Reuter-Sebranek family members. I would greatly appreciate it if you can share e-mail or snail mail addresses of any of them. If you feel uncomfortable doing that, please feel free to share mine with them: Karla Staudt 15 Birchwood Dr. Ticonderoga, NY 12883 staudt@cptelco.net I am very interested in this line as Guy Sigrist was the grandson of Howard and Mary (Manley) Merrill. Mary was sister to my g.g.grandfather, Menzies "Phelps" Manley and I am trying to learn more about Howard and Mary's family and history. I appreciate your help!
