Hi Tim. One advantage of this listing as it is is that it does give researchers some contacts. A bit unweildy but still maybe useful. I even submitted another entry. About the only way to improve it would be to limit each listing to ONE surname per entry - easier to list. But other than that.... Also, due to service problems, please copy all messages to me to faoefmb@excite.com I am not sure how long my Netzero access will remain. Thanks. Allen Osborne. -----Original Message----- From: Tim Stowell <tstowell@chattanooga.net> To: WIRICHLA-L@rootsweb.com <WIRICHLA-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Saturday, December 29, 2001 11:30 PM Subject: [WIRICHLA] Assistance sought >At the beginning of December, 1999 the following page was set up: > >http://www.rootsweb.com/~wirichla/newsurn.htm - which one gets as a > >result of first visiting: > >http://www.rootsweb.com/~wirichla/howtoqry.htm > >Now 25 months later this list is at best unwieldy and perhaps outdated for >the older entries due to email address changes. 99% of the folks have >obeyed the rules by not posting queries there but have instead filled out >the form correctly. > >What I'm seeking your advice / input on is if instead a format such as listed >below or a variation thereof might be more beneficial to you all: > >http://www.rootsweb.com/~ndhettin/surnames.htm > >Tim > > >==== WIRICHLA Mailing List ==== >Search the list archives: >http://searches2.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl - put WIRICHLA for >the name of the list > > ---------------------------------------------------- Sign Up for NetZero Platinum Today Only $9.95 per month! http://my.netzero.net/s/signup?r=platinum&refcd=PT97
