Mark, Thanks for the information below! I apologize for the late response, we left on vacation the weekend you sent this and everything go put on hold until we got home. I haven't heard from any of the Reuter-Sebranek family members. I would greatly appreciate it if you can share e-mail or snail mail addresses of any of them. If you feel uncomfortable doing that, please feel free to share mine with them: Karla Staudt 15 Birchwood Dr. Ticonderoga, NY 12883 staudt@cptelco.net I am very interested in this line as Guy Sigrist was the grandson of Howard and Mary (Manley) Merrill. Mary was sister to my g.g.grandfather, Menzies "Phelps" Manley and I am trying to learn more about Howard and Mary's family and history. I appreciate your help! To: Juneau, Sauk, Richland, Adams counties, WI; GenWisconsin; and Methodist Rootsweb mailing lists. If anyone has other ideas of places to check, I'd appreciate the feedback. I should be on all the mailing lists I'm sending this out to, but please reply-to-all in case I didn't get signed up correctly. ------------- I'm trying to track down information on a preacher, Reverand Lyman Jackson, Jr., who apparantly died in Baraboo, Sauk Co., WI, and was buried in Lindina, Juneau Co., WI. His death date was in 1879. Reportedly he and one of his brothers were Methodist Episcopal Pastors. I can't seem to find anything on this guy in Wisconsin aside from his headstone, so I'd like to check with churches in the area and see if there's any old records of their pastors. The last place I found him was in 1850 in PA, and he somehow made it into the Wright household there, the same Wright household that made it to Kildare Twp., Lyndon Station, Juneau co., WI as one of the early pioneers. So, can anyone forward me to Methodist Episcopal churches in the are that have a long history? I would assume original buildings are probably no longer used, but the congregation may have remained stable in another location over the time period. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom Wright
My great grandmother was a Dvorak, but is buried I believe outside of Webster. You may want to call my father he would know more about it. He may know a little something about this area. I've just sent/am sending several messages where folks were replying to the list regarding subjects already brought up here. Please....if you wish to post from an address other than the one you are subbed to the list with....let me know what that address is and I can allow you to post from other addresses while only receiving one copy of messages to this list. Doing so will allow your messages to go through on a more timely basis AND allow me to spend more time getting data online. Thanks, Tim Stowell moderator
I have just recently moved from Virginia to California and have yet to unpack all of my genealogy research on the Sigrist family. I will be happy to share what I have with you once I find everything. My great grandmother was Emma Sigrist born in Richland County. If we are related on the Sigrist side I have information that goes back to the 1600's. My personal email is Cbaker6607@aol.com Carol >>> staudt@cptelco.net 08/10/01 11:23AM >>> I am looking for information on the family and descendants of Guy E. SIGRIST b. 9 July 1893, d. 20 Apr. 1982 in Richland Co. Guy was the son of Eugene and Cora Mae (MERRILL) SIGRIST. I would like to make contact with anyone having information on this family, particularly a descendant. I have ancestral data to share as well. Thank-you for any help you are able to offer! Dad would have been 75 but went to his eternal reward a few years ago. I doubt if Mom would know any of those that Dad worked with. Dad used to bring buttered bread to work and then fill it with bologna there. He got so sick of bologna that he just couldn't eat it any more. His name was Byron Bell. My father who has lived all his live in the area and is 82 years old does not remember a creamery but does remember the store. He also said that it is possible the the creamery was a part of the store. Looking for census info on Lyman Jackson, uncertain of his residence in WI, but his final resting place is in Juneau County. Land records show a Lyman Jackson with holdings in Richland and vernon counties (uncertain if it's him). I believe this to be Lyman Jackson Jr, born in Vermont 1790. LJ Sr. emigrated from Vermont to Otsego Cty, NY, to Erie Cty, PA. The PA arrival was 1805. He's buried with Pearl Jackson, but may be associated with a Phebe or Phebe Wright as well. He appears in the same household in Erie, PA in the 1850 Census along with a woman "Phebe" I believe to be my GGGMother. (That's what I'm trying to confirm). Along with "Phebe" we have William and Jane Wright, Hiram S Wright, and Alsinius. Death dates, from Lindina, WI: Evergreen Cemetary Jackson, Pearl Aug 11, 1888 Jackson, Rev. Lyman Jan 11, 1879 First guy on the War of 1812 list here on the Juneau Cty. Web page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~wijuneau/Veterans.html If anyone can shed any light on this individual, I'd really appreciate it. Tom Wright
I am looking for information on Joseph MOON b: ca 1812 and Sarah BEIGHLEY b: ca 1816 family. It has been stated that the family immigrated into VA, moved to Butler Co., PA and between 1849-1854 removed to WI -- both Richland and Vernon (Bad Axe until 1962) counties: 1880 WI Richland Marshall F192 Moon Joseph head 68 ca 1812 Farmer Eng Eng Eng 1880 WI Richland Marshall F192 Moon Sarah wife 64 ca 1816 invalid paralyzed Eng Eng Eng 1880 WI Richland Marshall F192 Moon William H. son 34 ca 1846 Farmer Eng Eng Eng 1880 WI Richland Marshall F192 Moon Sarah C. dau-inlaw 27 ca 1853 IN OH OH 1880 WI Richland Marshall F192 Moon Nellie C. gdau 5 ca 1875 WI Eng IN 1880 WI Richland Marshall F192 Moon Jay W. gson 2 ca 1878 WI Eng IN Any information on this family would be appreciated. William H. does appear to be the youngest son, my direct descendant is Emeline Moon b: about 1841, John W. b: ca 1835, Lafayette b: ca 1843 and Lucy b: ca 1845. The children's census state they were born in PA, but Joseph & Sarah state Eng on 1880 census. From viewing all other BEIGHLEY census in Butler Co, PA it appears they have been in PA for sometime, so where they were born is very confusing. Emeline MOON married Rudolph FOREMAN son of James FOREMAN and Maria Elizabeth BARTMESS dau of Rudolph BARTMESS ... all Rudolph Foreman's parent' and grand parent's are from Butler Co. .. the FOREMAN's also removed to Wisconsin, Vernon and Richland Counties. We are also confused at the father of James FOREMAN. We suspect it may be Charles FOREMAN of Armstrong or Alleghany Counties but we are not totally convinced. If anyone has any information on this families, I would appreciate any help to clear the air. Bonita in TX
Guy Sigrist farmed in the village of Ithaca, the village reservoir was and still is on that farm. I've heard the hill called rattlesnake hill and remember a"story" as a kid that Guy's wife died of snakebite. His daughter Eleanor Reuter is a close family friend and babysat me at times. Hopefully some of her Reuter Sebranek and other families will see this inquiry of yours and respond. Regards, Mark Miller

Hi Terry, My dad also worked at Bohmann's until Frank closed the doors in 1953.Dad worked there many years. He is passing 90 now but remembers all the old customers and little country stores he stopped delivering meat. The funny one is about the dogs waiting for the truck to roll in at his stops.Dad gave them the broken ends of the wieners.
