Sandy, Adam and Patti made me feel so much better about my terrible goof re: the alleged SULFNBK.EXE virus. Given my history, this should not have happened. I can only say that too much was happening in my life at the same time. I hope you don't feel too badly about this hoax business. It isn't as though you set out to deceive anyone like the rats who initiated this in the first place! You were just trying to help us avoid problems. And I think just about everyone who ever went online has run into this and had to take something back. If anyone writes short-tempered emails just try to ignore them. As for taking out important systems by mistake, newer computers have protections built in. If you delete the file you are deleting a windows system file. Because of the delayed activation, no Anti-Virus software can detect it... It is possible this one has been roaming through ciber space for some time, and I can't remember when last I sent a message to you. So, just to be safe, do the following: Go to your "Start" button Click on "Find" or "Search" (Dependent on your system) Click on "Files and Folders" (Make sure to search in drive C)* Type in; SULFNBK.EXE Click "Begin Search" If it finds it, highlight it and delete it DO NOT OPEN IT!!!! Close the dialog box Open the "Recycle Bin" Find the file and delete it from the "Recycle Bin" You should be safe! *I did this little excercise and found that ugly thing sitting right there. Yes Kathy ! The Republican Observor is a weekly newspaper published on Wednesdays in Richland Center,Wi. I think it is called the Richland Observor today. When I was growing up in the Center in the 40's and 50's, I believe there were two papers published on a weekly basis . I believe the other was the the Democrat. And it was located near the old auditorium in the downtown of the Center.
