Thanks for all who pointed out the township would be Ithica. I have searched Ithica and surrounding areas for my KING Family in 1860, haven't found them.....so will probably continue to go through SAUK County. I now live in Scotland, so it's a slow process! John
I have just recently found my great grandfather, David Wilson King, purchased land in 1854 in Richland Co. Whereas I have never found him as of yet on a 1860 Census, I believe I'm getting closer! This land deed lists his residence as Sauk Co., so hoping to find him in 1860 in either Richland or Sauk. Here is the land legal description. Can anyone tell me which township this would be?
