They were married after 1848 in Prussia, before coming to the US (through Baltimore I think) Their daughter Francis is my husbands great grandmother. she had a brother John, whom we know nothing about, a michael, marie, Joseph, and some others. Only two were born outside the US, the others, as far as we know, were born in WI. Maybe there's a connect. Let me know. Susan
