Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The body is at the Prais funeral home where the rosary will be said this evening and Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. Although she had been in ill health for many years, Mrs. Shilka's death occurred suddenly, following a heart attack. A native of Poland, Mrs. Shilka was born on Feb. 13, 1872, a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Tork. During her childhood she came to this country with her parents who located at Mill Creek. The daughter married Peter Shilka in 1889 and after their marriage the couple continued to live at Mill Creek until the death of Mr. Shilka on April 3, 1939. Since then Mrs. Shilka made her home in Chicago with her son. Surviving are 10 children, Mrs. Frank Kietowski of Crozier, Ont., Canada, Mrs. Peter Przybyszewski, Mrs. Anna Tausch, Mrs. Matt Sobczak, Nick Shilka, Mrs. Ed Brongel and Anton Shilka of Chicago, Thomas of Kenosha, John of Milwaukee and Paul of Mill Creek, two sisters, Mrs. Nick Klish of Junction City and Mrs. Ed Przybylski of Stevens Point, 29 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mrs. Shilka was a member of the Rosary society of St. Bartholomew's church at Mill Creek. Rev. Bernard Hoppa officiated and burial followed in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers were Paul, Thomas, Nicholas, John and Anton Shilka, sons of Mrs. Shilka, and Matt Sobczak, a son-in-law. Coming from a distance for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Nick Shilka and son, Gene, Mrs. Anna Tausch, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Przybyszewski, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Brongel and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Sobczak and son, Matt, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Shilka, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kietowski, Mr. and Mrs. George Sobczak, Stanley Sobczak and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Knechtlek of Chicago, Mrs. Tessie Kietowski of Crosier, Ont., Canada, Mr. and Mrs. John Shilka and daughters, Evelyn and Marilyn, of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shilka of Kenosha and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kujawa of Wakefield, Mich.
