Although she had been in ill health for the past four years, she was able to be up and about, apparently in her usual health. She attended to her household duties as usual on Thursday. She called her daughter, Mrs. Phillip Durand, to her bedside about 15 minutes before her death, which was attributed to a heart attack. Mrs. Mosey, whose maiden name was Tessie Tork, was born in November, 1871, in Austria. She came to this country at the age of 14 years with her mother, who came here with her children to join her husband, Frank Tork, who preceded his family here to become established. The family located at Mill Creek. Mrs. Mosey was employed in Stevens Point for a time before her marriage to Thomas Mosey of Stevens Point, which took place in 1887. She had lived here since. Mr. Mosey died on November 25, 1934. Surviving are a son, Steve Mosey, 1027 Portage street; four daughters, Mrs. Durand and Mrs. Helen Kowalski at home, Mrs. Ray Jacobs, 214 Union street, and Mrs. William Riesler of Milwaukee; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Harriet Lombard of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Shilke of Mill Creek, Mrs. Nick Klish of Carson and Mrs. George Przybylski of Dancy; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's church, The body will be placed in the Prais receiving vault and burial will take place later in Guardian Angel cemetery. The body will be at the family home from Saturday until the time of the funeral. The rosary will be said Saturday and Sunday nights at 8 o'clock. Stevens Point Daily Journal 6 Feb 1940 Funeral of Mrs. Mosey Funeral services for Mrs. Tessie Mosey, who died Friday morning at her home at 404 Meadow street, were held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's church. Rev. Julius Chylinski officiated and the body was placed in the Prais receiving vault. Burial will take place later in Guardian Angel cemetery. The pallbearers were Frank Tork, Paul Shelke, Phillip Lodzinski, Roman Przybylski, William Riesler and Clifford Kowalski. Janet and Florence Mosey, Mary Siebert and Gloria Rybecke were in charge of the flowers. Those from out of town who came for the funeral included Mrs. Sam Lombard of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Durand of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. John Shemanski and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Groshek of City Point; Miss Leona Kowalski, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Mosey, John Mosey, Mr. and Mrs. William Riesler and son, Janet, Clifford and Florence Mosey, Mrs. John Cychosz and Mrs. Kurtz of Milwaukee; Mrs. James McAuliffe of Park Falls; Anton Golla of Port Edwards; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Tork of Bessemer, Michigan; Mrs. Peter Shelke of Mill Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Klish of Carson; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Przybylski of Dancy and Mr. and Mrs. John Lodzinski of Linwood. Mrs. Mosey's nieces and nephews of Mill Creek were also present.
