Peplinski, 88, formerly of Mosinee and Stevens Point, died on Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Clairidge House in Kenosha, where she had resided since July of 1999. Funeral services will be held at Martens/ Kundinger Funeral Home, Junction City. The Rev. John A. Wisneski will officiate. Burial will be in Runkel Cemetery in the Portage County town of Eau Pleine. Stephanie was born on Oct. 24, 1915, in Chicago. She was married to Florian A. Peplinski on Oct. 30, 1939, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. He died on Sept. 7, 1987. She is survived by two sons, Thomas Peplinski of Robstown, Texas, and David (Connie) Peplinski of Stevens Point; and two daughters, Barbara (David) Bird of South Elgin, Ill., and Mary (Larry) Hansen of Illinois. She is further survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Frank; a daughter, Phyllis Kuykendall Vargas; a brother, Chester; and a grandson.
