From the Manitoba Morning Free Press, Winnipeg (Canada), Friday, January 25, 1901, page 6, under Obituary. "Indian Head, Assa., Jan. (Looks like 23 or 28?); - News has been recieved here of the death of Alexander Spearman, which took place in the town of (Carson or Garson?)Wis., on the 29th. ult. Deceased was born on a farm where a part of the city of Ottawa, Ont., now stands. At the age of 22 years he was married to Miss Carrie McDonald, of Glengarry, settling in Almonte, where he resided till his wife's death. Soon after he removed to Carson county, Wis., where he became engaged with the Mahan Bros., as forman, remaining with them for 21 years, during which time he was married to Mrs. Russell, of Steven's Point. Latter in life he engaged in agriultural pursuits, which he followed up to the time of his death. Mr. Spearman was a resident of Carson for over 30 years, and at the time of his death he was 81 years of age. He leaves to mourn a widow and seven step children; also a son and daughter, the former being Mr. George Spearman, a much esteemed resident fo Indian Head and the l! atter Mrs. E. W. Lyman, of Ogdensburg, N. Y.. Deceased was a consistent menber of the Episcopal church and was much respected by all who knew him." For information only.
