She moved withher widow father to Wisconsin in 1864. I believe the family came to Portage in about 1880. They are on the 1870 census in Waupaca. I am trying to make a tree of decendants for Florah Smith. She is on the 1900 census married to a Gustof Rady with three of four children. two Etta and Earnest Hemler but I think is Heassler from all the marriage records that I have found on ancestry. I am trying to piece together were the family may have gone in 1901 the obit for Flora father says she is in Aberdeen, Washington. I cannot find them on the census. If anyone out there in Portage can help with this please contact me.
