Posted on: PortageCoWI Obits Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/PortageObits/905 Surname: GLEASON ------------------------- Michael P GLEASON Obituary as published in the Portage County Gazette on 9 May 1888 (fp) Michael P, the oldest child of Mr and Mrs Michael GLEASON, died very suddenly at the home of his parents, on Water street, last Thursday morning, at about six o'clock, of scarlet fever. The little fellow was sick only about thirty-six hours when death claimed him as its victim. He was nine years of age on the 14th of last March, a bright, intelligent little boy, full of life and ambition, and the afflicted parents deeply feel the loss occasioned by his death, in which they have the sympathy of many friends. The remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery on Saturday morning. Mrs GLEASON is now ill with the same disease, but will no doubt soon recover.
