Thank you for the information on Charles and William PACKARD. William may be the brother of my ggrandfather, Charles, but I still have to do more research to prove the connection. Charles was listed in the Town of Plover, Portage County 1860 census as a river pilot. According to information I have, he rafted down the Mississippi and walked back to Portage County.
