R/S MAK http://www.rootsweb.com/~wiportag +++++ This entry is in the "Wisconsin Deaths, 1820-1907" database on Ancestry.com Name: Louis Johnston Death Date: 01 Jun 1899 County: Portage Volume: 01 Page: 0261 Reel: 108 Wondering if anyone on this list has access to this film for a lookup. My Louis Johnston (or Lewis Johnston) was married in 1858 in Monroe County, WI. I've been to the gravesite of his wife, Maryette (Getman) Johnston, who died 24 Jun 1897 and is buried along side several of their children, in Warrens, Monroe, WI. He is not buried with the family according to cemetery records and headstones. I've been working on this line for 20 years and have never found anything about Louis/Lewis after the 1880 census. His wife has no obituary or death record. Bonnie Gilson <[email protected]>
