My first posting on this list. Looking for history concerning my great grandfather. STEVENS, Philander. Estimated dob of 1818 - possibly in New York. Oral family history puts "relatives" in/founding of Stevens Pointe, WI. His son, Alva Stevens (my grandfather) was born in Cadillac, Michigan in 1880.
