I have to agree with Joan on this one. Funeral homes I experienced in Wisconsin give the bare minimum - the last one wanted to charge me $25.00 per hour for a simple search - they did say, all they would provide was name of person buried, where buried, lot owner, date of purchase, and if the lot was occupied, but not by who... Instead of paying, I asked for the locations of the burials, went out and copied the info from the tombstone... It was annoying as it is probably all on computer - Also, if you are out of town, ask for the name and address of the caretaker, and write them. They seem to be more personable, if and when you can find them - older cemeteries only have a grounds keeper for cutting grass etc...
