Stachovak, 79, of Sheboygan, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home in Sheboygan, where he had been a patient for several years. He was born Nov. 6, 1926, to Leo and Florence (Yonker) Stachovak. He and his family resided in Schofield, where he attended Schofield Grade School and was a 1945 Wausau High School graduate. He was a World War II Army veteran honorably discharged in 1946. Blackie held numerous jobs throughout his life, but he was mostly known as proprietor of Blackie's Old Style Inn and managing the Cozy Lounge. He retired from Drott Manufacturing in 1990. Blackie married Virginia Stuplich in 1961 and they resided in Rothschild for many years. Following his retirement, Blackie and Ginny moved to Sheboygan. She preceded him in death in 2001. Blackie was an avid fan of all sports. He was a four-year Golden Gloves champ in high school. He loved to golf, watch the Brewers, Packers and any other sport event on TV. Some of his best times were golfing with his son-in-law, Bo. He loved styling his golf attire. The highlight of his life was watching his grandkids participate in their sport activities and events. He enjoyed something special with each of his five grandchildren. They will miss him very much. The apple of his eye was his only granddaughter, Amanda. She was his special little "Mandy." Blackie is survived by three daughters, Barb (Fran) Houseye of Sheboygan, Jill (Bucky) Shimulunas of Two Rivers and Jacalyn (Jack) Komorowski of Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Amanda Houseye of Sheboygan, Chris (Katina) Shimulunas and their children, Kacie and Kelcie of Two Rivers, Kelly Komorowski of Sheboygan, Cory (Paula) Shimulunas and their children, Macmahon, Cade and Gabby of Two Rivers, and Chad (fiancee, Kathy Rysticken) Shimulunas of Sheboygan; a sister, Gladys Augustine, Wausau; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and Ken Scheffler, all of Wausau.
