Surnames: LOBERG Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DFC.2ACE/1737 Message Board Post: Reply to: Charlotte Nelson (Loberg) <[email protected]> From the book: Land and Lumber - History of Portage County pg 62 is a picture (1/3 the page) with the caption "Loberg's Mill, Nelsonville, about 1900" - This section is about Pioneer farming - no other mention of Loberg in it. The picture is really nice. pg 103 - 104 In the Chapter Hard Times and War Time - The Golden Age - "By the time George Isherwood was raising his barn, the LOBERGs in Amherst, the Joseph WORZELLAs in Carson, the DORNASZEKs in Hew Hope and a few other country farmers were building big barns of there own for their registered Guernsey or Hostein dairy herds." I am not related to nor have any additional information on these surnames. R/S MAK http://www.rootsweb.com/~wiportag +++++++++++++ Hi --I wondered if there was anything on Nels J. Loberg, or Jesse D. Loberg, from Nelsonville in the book. Also, Johan Nelson, or Loberg, from rural Amherst. Thank you. Charlotte Nelson (Loberg) <[email protected]>
