[I am looking for the generation that would have preceded these people.] Albert William Manley, Charles Warner Manley, Martin Manley, James Markham Manley, Alice Mary Jane Manley Russell, and Cora Irena Manley Wilson's parents were Samuel Monroe Manley, born 25Jul1838 in West Parishville, St Lawrence, NY and Irena Marie Markham, born 27Jun1843 in Coral, McHenry County, IL. Samuel Monroe Manley was the son of Martin Manley and Lodema Moore of Chittenden, Rutland, VT. Martin was the son of Seth Manley, Jr and Remember Smith of North Easton, Bristol, MA. Seth Jr, was the son of Seth Manley and Mercy Keith of North Easton, Bristol, MA. Seth was the son of Thomas Manley and Lydia Hannah Stone of Weymouth, Norfolk, MA. Thomas was the son of William Manley and Rebecca Brooks of Weymouth, Norfolk, MA. From the "History of Weymouth, Norfolk, MA" it states that 'a Mr Manley was on the passenger list of the Thomas Weston ship Charity, which arrived in Weymouth, MA in 1622 and he had a son William, who was a witness to the will of John Whitman.' William Manley's daughter Rebecca married a John Whitman. [If your family was not Irish, then there is no connection. Thanks.] So Albert W Manley, Charles W Manley, and Martin Manley have an English line. I have all of the Manley's in the 1850, 1860, 1870, partial 1880, 1900, partial 1910, and 1920 and know some of them are Irish lines if you would like my help. Sandy in Escondido, CA, USA
