WI], Saturday June 8, 1901, Page 1 John E. BURNS died at his home at Junction Friday evening after a short illness with pneumonia, with which he had been suffering since the previous Tuesday. However, he has not been in good health for many years and worried a great deal over his condition. He was appointed joint agent of the Central and Milwaukee roads in 1880 and has held the office continuously ever since, except for a few months spent in the south for his health. He was a very efficient officer and served his companies well. He was also very careful of his personal finances, and although he received only a small salary he leaves considerable property. The deceased was 42 years old and leaves a widow and four children. The body was taken this morning to his old home at Fox Lake, where the funeral will be held Monday.
