The John Stefanski you found may be my great-grandfather, but Martin is not my grandfather. He did not marry until 1911 in Seattle. The family was in Seattle shortly after the turn of the century. There was a brother, George Stefanski who reportedly ran away from home and rode the rails. He was never heard from again. My great-grandfather could have worked for the railroad. I have no way of knowing. Thanks again. I truly appreciate your help. I live in the Pacific Northwest and hope one day to be able to come to Wisconsin to research my grandfather's family. In the meantime I am relying on the help of kind folks, such as yourself.
