He was the husband of the former Rita Suski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Suski, Town of Buena Vista. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Stephens Catholic Church and burial will be made in the parish cemetery. Further arrangements are pending at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. SPDJ Nov. 24,1969 James W. Matthews Funeral services were held at St. Stephens Catholic Church this morning for James W. Matthews, Chicago, who died Friday at a Chicago hospital where he had been a patient since Oct. 28. The Rev. Thomas E. Mullen conducted the funeral mass and he officiated at burial rites in the parish cemetery. Mr. Matthews was born at Detroit, Mich., on Oct. 6, 1927, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Matthews. He married Rita Suski of the Town of Buena Vista at Chicago in 1959. They had lived in Chicago since. Mr. Matthews was a barber by trade. He is survived by his wife; two children, James Jr. and Mary, both at home; two brothers, Thomas and William Matthews, both of Detroit, and one sister, Mrs. Nadine Peters, Livonia, Mich. **courtesy posting, no relation.
