After short illness Mrs. James Pierce, a resident of the village of Plover since Jun 1 1856, passed away at the home of her son, James W. Pierce, at Plover Monday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock following a short illness. Up to four weeks ago Mrs PIERCE had been inunusually good health for one of her years. Since that time, however, she had been a sufferer with heart trouble and complications. BORN IN NEW YORK Jane ALLEN was born in Luzerne, N.Y Jan 23, 1832, and was therefore eighty-two years and twenty days of age. In 1849 she was united to James PIERCE in NY state and in 1856 they removed to Plover. She leaves two sons, James W, and Marcus F, both of Plover, Besides these she has two brothers, H G ALLEN, of Jacksonville, FL, and Elmer D ALLEN, Allegany, NY Mr PIERCE passed away in 1895 Mrs PIERCE had a large acquaintance in the county all of whom....
