I recently read the obituaries posted on the GenWeb site for Prais. I have been researching the GERBER surname for some time now. I recently started on another of my ancestors Mathias H. Gerber. Mathias married his second wife Frances Prais. Mathias was living in Minneapolis and I was told he went to Stevens Point to get married. I am also told that they had at least 2 additional children. Mathias's first wife died in May 1912. From the 1920 Hennepin Co. MN census I have: Gerber, Mathias H. age 51, addr: 718 16th Ave No., occ. Bookbinder Frances W., age 43 born Germany (na) Lucille, age 18, file clerk Carl A., age 15, working in Bindery Co. Paul, age 14 Martha, age 9 Roman, age 8 Cecilia, age 4 10mos. I would like to find their exact marriage date and also try to determine what happened to any of Mathias's children.
