Funeral services will be Tuesday at Boston Funeral Home. Rev Paul NULTON will officiate and burial will be in Plover Cemetery. George was born April 2, 1898 at Liberty Corners, town of Buena Vista, a son of the late Mr and Mrs Paul STELTER. He grew up in the area, and enlisted in the Wisconsin National Guard in 1917 and served in France during World War I, being discharged in 1919. He married Mildred DAKE May 22, 1922 in King. The couple lived in King and Meehan before moving to the Town of Plover in 1931. Mr. STELTER worked at the Biron Division of Consolidated Papers, Inc. After his retirement from Consolidated they moved to Stevens Point in 1972. They entered the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King in 1976. His wife died July 23, 1976 and he then moved to Nelsonville. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Harry (Mildred) ANTILL of Nelsonville and Mrs Robert (Eunice) HUTCHINGS of Montello; two sisters, Mrs Irma ROSSELET and Mrs Myrtle SKOOR, Milwaukee; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
