Burial will be made in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Pitcher, former resident of the Town of Plover, was killed early Saturday in a traffic accident on Highway 41 near Neenah. The body is at the Dzikoski Funeral Home, where a general rosary is scheduled for 8:30 this evening. Mrs. Pitcher was the former Marcia Bednarczyk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bednarczyk of Route 1, Plover. She was born in Stevens Point on Dec. 9, 1950. She attended the McDill and Roosevelt Schools and also P. J. Jacobs High School. She was married last April to Richard Pitcher and they had lived since at Appleton. Mr. pitcher is employed at the Gilbert Paper Co. at Neenah. Mrs. Pitcher is survived by her husband; her parents; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Virginia) Wolosek 3230 Center St., Mrs. William (Rose) Porter, Town of Hull, and Miss Sandra Bednarczyk, at home; four brothers, Anthony, Peter, and Leonard, all at home, and Thomas, in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, and two grandmothers, Mrs. Mary Bednarczyk and Mrs. Elizabeth Hoffman, both of Plover. From SPDJ Nov. 19,1969 Pitcher Funeral Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Bronislava's Catholic Church at Plover for Mrs. Richard Pitcher of Appleton. The Rev. Francis Przybylski officiated at the requiem mass, and he also conducted burial rites in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Pitcher, 18, was killed early Saturday morning in a traffic accident on Highway 41 near Neenah. Pallbearers were Dave Olson, Donald Pflugardt, and Donald, Jerome, John and Harold Pitcher. Among those attending the rites was Mrs. Pitcher's brother, Thomas Bednarczyk, who has been serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Others came from Kenosha, West Allis, Milwaukee, Appleton, Green Bay, Neenah, Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, Port Edwards, Rothschild, Mosinee, Galloway, Rudolph, and the Stevens Point and Plover vicinity.

Beardmore of Waupaca, but who was well known in this county, died at the home of Mrs. Arthur Harness of Neenah at 12:30 o'clock, January 19. She had been with Mrs. Harness for a couple of months. Mrs. Beardmore was born at Rushford, N.Y., Nov. 17, 1829, and was therefore in her eighty-second year. Those who are left to mourn her loss are one son, A. W. Pitcher of Plover, three grandchildren, Mrs. John Gurney of this city, H.F. Pitcher of Aurora, Neb., and Miss Lillian Pitcher of Plover. The two great grandchildren are a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gurney and a daughter of H. F. Pitcher. Mrs. Beardmore was a sister of Dr. H. R. Palmer, who was known as the poet musician and was director of music at the Chautauqua in New York state for a number of years. Mrs. Harness, at whose home Mrs. Beardmore passed away, was formerly Miss Kittie Stoner, who at the age of seven years, was taken to the home of Mrs. Beardmore and reared by her. The funeral service at Neenah consisted of a short prayer, the body being taken to Waupaca, where the services were conducted by Rev. Webster Miller of the M. E. church, of which the deceased had been a member. Interment followed in the Waupaca cemetery. Mrs. Beardmore had usually spent a part of her winters with Mrs. Harness and her son, A.W. Pitcher, at Plover.

He died April 8, 1978. She was a homemaker and former hospital employee. Survivors include her mother, Myrtle Skoor, Milwaukee; seven daughters, Nialetta Hall, Bloomfield, Ind., Donna Pratt and June Gunter, both of Winamac, Ind., Carol Stackhouse, Monticello, Ind., Connie Brady, Stafford, Va., Linda Flanigan, Angleton, Texas, and Janet Amick, Scottsburg, Ind.; four sons, Eugene, Bloomfield, Clayton, Yuma,Ariz., Arnold, Kokomo, Ind., and Dennis, Winamac; one brother, Jerrold Skoor, Milwaukee; 39 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Gustave Boelter died in December of 1938 and his wife, Mathilda (Timm) in Feb of 1938. They are buried at the Hillside Cemetery. There is also another Gustave Boelter, died in 1973.

Not even obituries. But, as a follow up, their estate had about $1000 embezzled from it by a fellow by the last name of Okenewski (sp?) There was a trial, but unknown at this time what the outcome was. One article said that Mr Lipski was found dead at the home of Mr Okenewski, but all other facts shed doubt on that theory. If I find any more, I'll let you know!

Mullen conducted the funeral mass and he officiated at burial rites in the parish cemetery. Mr. Matthews was born at Detroit, Mich., on Oct. 6, 1927, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Matthews. He married Rita Suski of the Town of Buena Vista at Chicago in 1959. They had lived in Chicago since. Mr. Matthews was a barber by trade. Konkol Mrs. Marie J. Konkol, 90, of Stevens Point, formerly of Amherst, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at St. Michael's Hospital. Marie was born in the town of Torun, Portage County, on Aug. 15, 1915. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (Kropidlowski) Buza. On Oct. 3, 1938, she married Walter Konkol at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church-Fancher. He preceded her in death June 29, 2002. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church, Amherst, and was a member of the Altar Society for more than 50 years. She was a religious education teacher at the church for more than 36 years. She owned and operated Marie's Dress Shop in Amherst for more than 11 years, where she also did seamstress work for many people. She was member and president of the Amherst Women's Club. Marie is survived by one daughter, Sister Beth Konkol, Alameda, CA.; one son, Michael (Marla) Konkol, Merrill; five grandchildren, Brien (Lisa) Konkol, Elk River, Minn., Michele Konkol, Merrill, Julie (Michael) Stober, St. Michael, Minn., Mary Konkol, Chicago, and David Konkol, Merrill; one great-grandchild, Benjamin Konkol; four sisters, Theresa (Joe) Montgomery, Stevens Point, Leona Staudt, Sussex, Helen Patoka, Sussex, Bernice Bemowski, Stevens Point; and one brother, Florian (Loraine) Buza, Sussex. Marie is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant son, LeRoy, and by one sister, Eleanor Mitcheltree. Funeral Mass will be at St. James Catholic Church, Amherst, with the Rev. Robert Pedretti officiating. Interment will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery, Amherst. Strong Kropidlowski Dorothy L. Strong, 74, 1450 Water St., died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at the Portage County Health Care Center. Services will be at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Don Przybylski officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Mrs. Strong was born May 18, 1926, in Stevens Pont, a daughter of the late Forest and Margaret (Weiss) Strong. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. She was married to Frank L. Kropidlowski on Nov. 28, 1946, at St. Stephen Catholic Church. He died Sept. 30, 1961. She worked at Montgomery Ward and was a waitress in various restaurants in Stevens Point. She was a member of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Society, the American Legion Auxiliary, a Girl Scout leader for 12 years, a Cub Scout den mother for two years and a volunteer at the Lincoln Center and King Veterans Home visitation. Survivors include one son, Dennis (Libby) Strong, Burnsville, Minn.; one daughter, Susan (Dennis) Pawlak, Stevens Point; four brothers, Harold (Betty) Strong and John (Pierette) Strong, both of Stevens Point, Joseph (Jean) Strong, Cape Coral, Fla., and James (Joan) Strong, Dubay; one sister, Charlene (Lee) Moyer, Rosholt; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
