    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: BIRON, SNYDER, WOLFE Classification: Marriage Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DFC.2ACE/1792 Message Board Post: From the Wood County Reporter [Grand Rapids, Wood County, WI], Thursday May 23, 1912, Page 1 (apparently reprinted from the Stevens Point Journal) Miss Delemoe BIRON of Grand Rapids and Michael WOLFE of Hancock were married at SS Peter & Paul church in Grand Rapids Monday morning. The attendants were Miss Monhylin BIRON, sister of the bride, and Frank WOLFE, a brother of the groom. Immediately following the ceremony the bridal party and a few guests partook of a bountiful wedding supper at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Stephen SNYDER, and Mr. and Mrs. WOLFE left on the morning train for Friendship, where they will make their future home. Mrs. WOLFE is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis BIRON, who for many years were residents of this city, only recently removing to Grand Rapids. She graduated from the local High School with the class of 1909, and since that time, had taught for several years in the rural schools of this county. She is a very estimable young lady and her many friends will be pleased to extend their congratulations. Mr. WOLFE is comparatively little known in this city. He is a carpenter by trade and is said to be an ambitious and honorable young man. ---Stevens Point Journal Submitter: Joan M Benner <[email protected]> Golden Rule Genealogy http://www.rootsweb.com/~wiwood/resource/r-joanb.htm Specializing in Central Wisconsin Records Member, Association of Professional Genealogists

While traveling east through Nebraska and Iowa, we stopped in Council Bluff, Iowa to stay at a motel. Sometime during the night our vehicle was broken into and my computer, printer, suitcases, etc. were stolen. But worse than that, I had 5 binders of Family History notebooks taken. They represent 32 years of work and were filled with priceless family photos. The names I was researching were: KOLMOS, LAPP, TRYON, RAMSELL/FOULKES, and DEMLOW. I am praying that the thieves threw them in a ditch some place, and someone will find them. I am offering a reward for their return. My address is: >Nancy Hanke W8735 Kramer Road, Deerbrook, Wisconsin 54424. If there is somewhere you could post this information I would be grateful. My phone number is: (715) 623-0842. Since they stole my computer, I do not have an e-mail address at this time, except the one on which I am writing, which is my brother-in-law. He will see that I get any information you may send through e-mail. You may also call me collect. Thank you for any help you may be able to give me. Surnames: JENNER, SLUSSER Classification: Death Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DFC.2ACE/1789 Message Board Post: From the Stevens Point Daily Journal [Stevens Point, Portage Co., WI], Saturday June 8, 1901, Page 1 Lawrence V. SLUSSER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank SLUSSER of 176 Superior Avenue, died at 7 o'clock at St. Mary's hospital at Oshkosh as the result of strangulation brought on by a kernel of corn which became lodged in his windpipe a week before. At the autopsy it was found that the kernel did not reach the boy's lungs as he thought, but lodged in the trachea just below the vocal cords. The corn swelled to enormous size and this, with the inflammation, probably closed the windpipe. He has a severe paroxysm of coughing a little while before his death but recovered and walked across the floor not two minutes before he died. The body was brought home by his parents this morning. The funeral will be held from the Episcopal church Sunday, Dr. JENNER officiating. The little boy was four years old on Memorial Day. My mother-in-law had heard stories that she was related to Thomas McKean one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence from Delaware. He in later life was the governor of Pennsylvania. Go to the McKean website and you can read his will etc. I am planning to look up Eugenia's death certificate in the Sheboygan County office.
