Harding, Bay City, Pierce County. newspaper clipping from family collection, newspaper and issue date unknown) Obituary Walter T. Harding died at the home of his father Feb. 13, 1906. He was born at Minnesota Lake, Faribault county, Minn., March 16, 1871, and was therefore thirty-four years, ten months and twenty-eight days old. He came to Pierce county at the age of nine years. Nov. 21, 1897, he was united in marriage to Miss Selma E. Sell of Red Wing and had resided at that place up to the time of his wife's death July, 1905, when he came to Bay City. Besides his father he leaves three brothers and four sisters, all of Bay City except the eldest sister, Mrs. Charles Storkel of Brookfield, Minn. Also two children, Ruth, aged six years, who is with her grandparents in Red Wing, and Arthur, aged four years, who is at Brookfield, Minn. Funeral services were held at the Bay City Methodist Episcopal church Friday morning, Rev. M. A. Michaels and Modern Woodmen camp, No. 1486, of Red Wing, of which Mr. Harding was a member, officiating. About forty brother Woodmen from the Bay City and Red Wing lodges were present. The pallbearers were: Thomas Helserman, Felix Lindberg, H. Koltshorn and A. O. Steffens of Red Wing and Ed Josephson of Bay City. J.J. Ferrin, another brother Woodman of Red Wing, was funeral director.
