Hello: Would like to ask how much interest would there be in providing space on the Pierce County site for old photographs, either of residents or towns. The photos could be sent to me as an attachment to email and I would place online. This would help share photos with distant cousins whose families might have lost theirs over the years and put some faces to the names we see on the website. This means photos would have to be scanned or converted to JPG or GIF format somehow prior to emailing. I don't want to be responsible for anyone's old photographs getting lost in the mail or damaged, so mailing them to me is out of the question. I know how precious these things are and am not willing to take that risk. I think many drugstores these days who offer photo processing also can convert your photos to either of the above formats, but you would have to check with your local processor. If there is any interest, please let me know. Would love to see everyone contribute a photo or two (maybe more?).
