Funeral services were conducted at the house and the Spring Lake Lutheran Church Saturday morning, Feb 21, Rev. Berven officiating. Interment was made in the Spring Lake Cemetery. Deceased was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Jacobson, of Spring Lake. He has been ill for several years with arthritis and for the last 3 œ years has been unable to leave his bed. In spite of his suffering, he was always cheerful. Although he had been sick for such a long time his death was rather unexpected, as there was no apparent change in his condition until the last 2 days before he passed away. He reached the age of 37 yrs., 6 mos., and 22 days. Besides his parents, he leaves to mourn his early death 5 sisters and 3 brothers: Mrs. Joe Johnson of Elmwood, Mrs. Thos. Singleton of Seattle, Wa; Mrs. George Wild of Rock Elm and Ida and Viola together with the 3 brothers, Carl, Arthur and Henry are at home. His death was the first break in the family.
