Hi Folks: I'm new to this list, and seek a former resident of Pierce County from the late 1800's. Forest Hills is listed in the 1880 federal census at age two, having been born in El Paso, Pierce County, the son of Allen R. Hills and his wife Myerma. The family seems to have moved from Minnesota to Wisconsin back to Minnesota and then back to Wisconsin again from 1860 to 1880. In the early 1900's, Forest married the daughter of my Great Uncle Richard Carey and Clara Gonyo of Berlin, Green Lake County, WI. When Richard died in 1920, his obituary indicates Forest Hills and his wife and their son Forest Hills Jr. are living in Chicago, IL, yet I have checked the 1920 census and can't find them anywhere in Illinois. So---------- thought I'd come back to Pierce County to see if there's anyone on this list that knows anything about the family, or any descendants of the family that might still be in Pierce County, and for me, any idea of where Forest Hills may have ended up, where his children and grandchildren might be, etc.!
