Foote was born Nov. 25, 1876 in Mankato, Minn. child of Edward and Mary Foote. For a time the family lived in Raymond, Minn and in 1928 Archie moved to Spring Valley working a farm north of the village. He was married in 1906 to Lula M. Gibbs, at Willmar, Minn and following her their residence in Spring Valley, Mr and Mrs Foote have lived for the past seven years in Menomonie. Mr. Foote took ill Friday, November 4 and passed away Monday, November 7 at Memorial Hospital, Menomonie. Surviving his passing are: thwe widow, Mrs. Lula Foote; three daughtes, Leila Foote, Menomonie; Lois (Mrs Almer Strom), Menomonie; and Cecil (Mrs. Robert Fleischman, LeCenter, Minn; one son, Wival, of rural route, Baldwin. Also three sisters: Carrie (Mrs. Vern Fahlstrom) Olympia, Wash; Allie (Mrs. Jack Mann) Everett, Wash; and Mabel (Mrs. Acle), Glendale, Calif. And two brothers: Harry of Everett, Wash, and Perrie, of Seattle, Wash. Another brother, Arthur, of St. Cloud, Minn. died in OCtober this year. Threee sisters also preceeded Archie in death, as well as two of his children, Myrtle and Donald. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marilyn Bruegger (now Mrs. Wolters) is a granddaughter who was raised to adulthood by her grandparents after her mother passed away when Mariyln was two years of age. Funeral services for Mr. Foote were held Thursday, November 10, from the Spring Valley Congregational Church with Rev. O. R. Gaylord officiating. Funeral arrangements were by Geving and Keehr Funeral Home of Spring Valley. Two hymns were rendered by Mrs. Golda Pence and Mrs. Dorla Anderson, with Mrs. Harriet Davis at the organ. Pallbearers were Freeman Lamb, Clifford Hanson, Marvin Anderson, Orville Moen, Kenneth Wang and Carl Strom. Interment was in St. John's Lutheran cemetery in Spring Valley.
