Funeral Services were held Tuesday, June 11 at 2 PM at the Congreagational church at Spring Valley. The rev. Michael Dunn officiated. Burial was at St. John's Lutheran cemetery, Spring Valley. Lula Myrtle gibbs was born October 7, 1882, the daughter of Benjamin and Anne (Chapman) Gibbs, in the town of Echo, Minn. After her maiirage to Archie Foote at Willmar, Minn., On December 20, 1906, she and her husband farmed in the Raymond area for 20 years. They then moved to Snohomish, Wash., and returned to to the midwest two years later. Before moving to Menomonie 15 years ago, they lived in Piec\rce and St. Croix counties. Surviving her are four children: Leila Foote and Mrs. Almer (Lois) Strom, both of Menomonie, Wival, Watertown, and Mrs. Robert (Cecil) Fleischman, Mankato, Minn; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a brother, Leslie R. Gibbs, Long Beach, Calif. Her husband preceeded her in death in 1960. Also preceeding her in death were two children, Myrtle and Donald; a sister, Mrs. Ernest Yarns; a brother, Earl Gibbs, and a grandson, Loren Foote. Geving and Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley, was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
