    1. [WIPierce] Pierce County WIGenWeb Project update
    2. Hello: I'm at it yet again. I received photocopies of the "History of the St. Croix Valley" by Augustus B. Easton published in 1909 in the mail yesterday. I have begun to scan and upload the approximately 150 pages regarding Pierce County contained in this multi-volume set. They were photocopied for me by Heidi Nelson of Frederic, WI and many thanks go to her for taking the time to do so. I have scanned them simply because I do not have time to sit and retype each and every page to go online. I am doing an index of each biography contained within these pages to help make it easier to find your ancestor, but do not have the time presently to do an every name index. Only the first chapter, comprising the early history of the county, is currently available, but I will be adding to it almost daily until it is done. It can be accessed at http://www.rootsweb.com/~wipierce then by clicking on the "Towns" button, then look for the link near the top of the page. I would also like to remind everyone here that if you have biographies, obituaries, wills, deeds or pension files, there is a place for you to put them on the Internet on the Pierce County site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~wipierce then click on the "Genconnect" button. This will take you to a page where the various GenConnect boards can be accessed. It only takes a few minutes to add your materials and will help make it easier for other researchers to find you, as well as adding material to the Pierce County project!!!! It's painless and free so I hope to see them start growing soon! Good luck in your research and Happy 4th of July to everyone!
