Halverson Norman Emil Halverson, son of Halvor and Otelia Halverson, was born Feb. 14, 1881, in Pleasant Valley, WI. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He spent his boyhood years west of Eau Galle, WI., and his adult years on a small farm south of Elmwood. For the past three years he had made his home in St. Paul. He died at St. Paul Ramsey Hospital in St. Paul, MN., on April 20, 1968, at the age of 87 years. Surviving him are: Seven sons, Kenneth, Dennis, Courtney and Ronnie of St. Paul, Glenn and Emil of Seattle, WA., and Harold of Woodville; four daughters, Mrs. Donald (Gladys) Cadmus, Mrs. Richard (Norma) Leslie and Mrs. Richard (Wilma) Miller, all of St. Paul, and Mrs. Oma Klein of Lake Elmo, Mn.; 30 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Oscar of Mound, MN,; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Batchelder and Mrs. Alma Knowles of Lancaster, CA., and Mrs. Ida Oskey of Bay City, WI. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 24, at 2 p.m. at Spring Lake Lutheran Church with Rev. Roger Kampstra officiating. Interment was in Spring Lake Cemetery.
