Berven officiating. Internment was made in the Spring Lake Cemetery. Deceased was born in Grimsbo, Foldalen, Norway, Oct 1, 1831. In 1861 she was married to Peter Hanson. About 26 years ago they came to America, settling in the town of spring Lake. Of the seven children born to them only three survive, Simon Peterson, who lives in Washington, and Hans and Mary Peterson, both at home on the farm in Spring Lake. Mr. Hanson died about 15 years ago. A daughter, Mrs. Marie Larson, who was married to Martin Larson of Spring Valley, died only a few month ago. Owing to her age Mrs. Hanson has been quite feeble for several years, but she has been most tenderly cared for by her son and daughter, who did everything to make the declining years of her life as bright and happy as possible. The last few months it has been apparent that her days were numbered. Thursday, Jan. 16, she suffered a slight stroke which left her partly paralysed. The following Thursday the hour of he release was tolled. She reached the unusual age of 87 years, 3 months and 21 days. Besides her children she leaves to mourn several grandchildren and two brothers - Haldor Olson, of Spring Lake and Ole, who lives in Norway. Mrs. Hanson will be missed, not only by her children and grandchildren, but also by her many friends, who loved her because of her kind disposition and her Christian character.
