When about a month old she was taken ill with scarlet fever and although she got over the attack, complications set in, ending her brief life Tuesday March 25. Private funeral services were held at the home Friday, March 28, Rev. Berven officiating. Burial was made in the Spring Lake Cemetery. Little Helen is survived by her parents, one sister and two brothers, besides a host of more distant relatives, many of whom were present at the funeral.
