Jacobson Charles O. (Otis) Jacobson was born Jan. 5, 1887, to Jacob and Kari Jacobson in the Town of Spring Lake. He passed away at Memorial Hospital in Menomonie on Saturday, May 27, 1967, at the age of 80 years, four months and 22 days. He was baptized and confirmed in the Spring Lake Lutheran Church where he remained a member until his death. He graduated from the Agricultural Short Course in Madison in 1910. He was united in marriage to Christine Hogenson on May 1, 1919, by Rev. S. Berven. They lived on the farm in the Town of Spring Lake all of their married life. He was preceded in death by his wife in January 1961, also his parents and a brother, Louie. Surviving are: Five sisters and two brothers: Marie Johnson, Elmwood; Laura Reed, Yucaipa, CA; Ida Jacobson, who made her home with him for the past several years; Arthur and Henry, Spring Lake township; Viola Schofield, Cameron, WI; Julia Wild, Elmwood; also several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Monday afternoon and evening at the Geving & Keehr Funeral Home, with funeral services Tuesday, May 30, at the Spring Lake Lutheran Church with Rev. Ronald Leslie officiating.
