Hudson is on the St.Croix River. It's on the border of Wisc & MN. Most people moved up and down and back and forth across the river. I was born in the area. I have allot of genealogy things for that area. I believe I've come across the name Preble in Stillwater MN area before. That was MN's first capitol and one of the biggest places around back then. It also had the only prison for the area. I believe I've seen the name Pribble. In that time there was allot of miss spellings because of all the different nationalities.
