    1. [WIPepin] Ebay WI items
    2. Hi Pepin county family historians. While browsing Ebay I saw a few Pepin Co. items I'd want if the family names on them were mine, but they are not. The first was described: "This is a Souvenir from 1906, the Burke public School, District No. 3, Pepin Co., Wisc. Cora J. Hurlburt Teacher. The students' names include Bradshaw, Denison, Hoyt, Thompson, Goodrich, Kirk, Stuart, Buchanan. The school board was Thompson, Fish, and Steller." And there was a picture of it at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2100489639 The auction ended with no bidders, but I have contacted the seller, who still has the item to sell, at her asking price of $5 plus postage. She also had, offered for $10: "a large die-cut card that measures 9 by 7 inches. This beautiful die-cut is labelled: With best wishes of your teacher Linna McCain Pepin Wis., June 24 1904." There were no students' or board members names on this item. I imagine she will sell that item for the asking price, too. If interested, email me and I will put you in touch with the seller (and get out of the middle). I think these things should go to descendants interested in their history.
