Dan, I went to the Wisconsin State Historical Society in Madison last month. They have the Pepin County Courier on microfilm. I don't remember how far back they went though. Some of the little towns sent in gossip information for columns about people in their towns, I found quite a bit of information on my Silvernails and Crandalls in those columns.
