On another list I received notice of the Wisconsin Marriage Index. The URL is at the end of this message. The person/s recording the marriage dates for 1900 to 1907 created a flaw when they recorded the dates as 1800 to 1807. A century off because the complete year date was not originally recorded. I first noticed this when checking several family names in Pepin County. Pepin didn't exist in 1802, but names and dates were given. Then I checked names of persons who I already knew their marriage dates, and they were off by a century! I don't know how prevalent this flaw is, but it may exist throughout this index.
